Pluto in Libra (2)
You may remember that divine equilibrium is among those things that people of this generation hold dear to their heart. Drugs and alcohols are not something they are into, everything needs to be moderate including fun.
PLUTO

When you're running out of tightrope
I first knew about Above & Beyond when I happened to know about Zyzz (side story on another post, guess what, Pluto in Scorpio), and fell in love with their music right away. Above & Beyond’s style of music is hard to describe. They mostly use electronic instruments, and the style may be described as trance vocal and trance progressive, but there is a wide variety of genres throughout the years. They do a lot of outdoors concerts in music festivals, and also do acoustic concerts inspired by chamber music.
In the last post about Pluto in Libra, you may remember that divine equilibrium is among those things that people of this generation hold dear to their heart. Drugs and alcohols are not something they are into, everything needs to be moderate, even fun.
This song by Above & Beyond is the first thing I had in mind while contemplating about Pluto in Libra.
I am no expert, and would like to have a conversation with a sound engineer, or a musician. Maybe it is the tempo, or the instruments used, that reminds me of disco music they used to listen to back in the 70s. It sounds happy, youthful and upbeat in a healthy way (that is, no fast cars, no beautiful boys and girls, or alcohols and drugs involved). But the lyrics tell another story:
When you're running out of tightrope
And there's empty sky below
Where'd you go?
Please, does anyone know?
When you've laid down all your aces
And there's nothing left to show
Where'd you go?
Please, does anyone know?
When you can't shut out the voices
And your head's about to blow
Where'd you go?
Please, does anyone know?
One can imagine a youngster living life to the fullest, juggling between work and fun. The metropolitan way of life. Having a 9-to-5 job that pays good money, but city life has its costs. The city life offers so much fun, so after work one would rush to eat a takeaway meal, then take a shower and change and rush to a bar to have some fun before going home completely spent to crush to bed. And the sun rises again, the cycle repeats, until the physical body can no longer stand such fast-paced life. All the fun of the world now is unable to heal all the burn-out and growing depression.
If you are under 30, please, take some Pluto in Libra’s advice. Have fun in moderation!
Fun fact: 2 out of 3 Above & Beyond members have Pluto in Libra. The last one, Tony McGuinness, has Uranus in Libra conjunct Jupiter opposing the North node. Wow.
