Pluto in Scorpio - Only a few things

Remember my last post about Pluto in Libra, in which I told you about Zyzz. Zyzz - Aziz Shavershian, was a world-renown body builder, very famous at the beginning of YouTube, when social media was in a different place and people were idolized for different things.

Zyzz’s life is a story of self-empowerment, physical metamorphosis and utmost destruction from one’s abuse of bodily pleasures granted from hard-earned success.

1980s, Turkey. A Kurd cardiologist and his wife migrated to Russia where their sons were born. Russian weather was harsh (and it still is), certainly not for the faint of heart. Their youngest son was born asthmatic and suffered greatly during the summertime, he was heavily medicated from a very young age. Realizing that the hostile weather of Russia was not for people genetically designed to live in a warmer place, they decided to move to Australia in 1993 while not speaking an English word. It was difficult, but they made it, and the boys grew up healthy and got good grades at school.

But life was not perfect, it would be too boring otherwise. The boys, Said and Aziz, though lovely and well-educated, took after their dad and were both ectomorphs, making them tall and skinny, with limbs seemingly too long for their shapes. They suffered a great deal from bullying, until one day, Said decided that was it. He started his fitness journey and become a whole different person. Suddenly life got much better, he got lots more friends, and girls would fight to be with him.

Having seen his elder brother’s incredible transformation, Aziz took the vow and started his arduous training very seriously. From the skinny boy endowed with glasses and pimples, he become a handsome young man with a chiseled face and strong, muscular body. Aziz became Zyzz and began posting videos on YouTube showing off his transformation and motivating people to be «aesthetic». After all, the era of men on steroids was over, and Arnold Schwarzenegger wasn’t sex symbol any more. At some point, there was even a cult of followers of Zyzz who praised him as «Son of Zeus» since he was the image of the perfection.

A lot happened in his life while he was on top of the world. Turned out that he was also on steroid (among other weird drugs), partied too much and enjoyed life maybe a little too much too, as to make up for the years of bullying he had to endure. He was found dead in a massage parlor in Pattaya, Thailand, at 22 of age.

Shortly before his death, spontaneously, he told to his fan that there were a song he would like to have it played at his funeral. And I think this song is perfect for Pluto in Scorpio at its detriment:

Zyzz’s era was also the era of YOLO - you only live one. I remember watching one of his brother Said’s interviews some years after Zyzz’s death, in which he was crying and telling that he couldn’t stop asking himself what would Zyzz become if someone was strong enough to tell him to stop doing all the crazy things he did to his body and himself. It was painful to watch, and also a strong reminder for the Pluto in Scorpio generation, which happens to be theirs.

Pluto in Scorpio has a tremendous power to make one’s life turn 180°. If one’s weaknesses are acknowledged and addressed, things will naturally change for the better, but discipline and conscience should aways be in check. Pluto in Scorpio can make one’s prone to addictions and abuse of bodily pleasures, so some Saturn work can be very beneficial to make one’s pragmatic and strong while dealing with temptations.

At a soul’s level, there is nothing such a failure. We all learn from even the lest pleasurable experience. Pluto in Scorpio reminds us of the fragile, finite nature of life. We are all temporary beings, strolling the planet Earth for an unknown period of time, so spend it wisely and choose to be with the few people who count, for we the day we leave, the heart can only bring with it only a few things.

Trivia: Zyzz was born on March 24, 1989 in Moscow, Russia. He had Pluto trine Mercury and sextile Saturn. Transit Saturn was in the second square to his natal Saturn the year of his death.
